New Gramapanchayaths- Draft Notification Issued
Govt issued draft notification for the formation of 70 Gramapanchayths in the state. Objections can be filed within 15 days from the date of notification. Notification for the re arrangement of panchayath wards to another Gramapanchayths were also issued.
Vth State Finance Commission Costituted
Kerala Govt constituted 5th State Finance Commission for LSGIs under the Chairmanship of Dr BA Prakash, Professor, RajivGandhi Institute Of Development Studies. The commission will review the financial position of LSGIs and make recommentations to strengthen them. The tenure of the commission will be one year.

Solid waste Management - Service Providers' approval renewed
As per the recommendation of Sanitation Mission,LSGD updated the list of Service providers appointed in the field of Solid waste management. 33 agencies got approval for providing service to LSGIs up to 30/09/2015. The approval of 40 service providers were withdrawn with effect from 09/01/2015.

സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ ജീവനക്കാര്‍ക്കും പെന്‍ഷന്‍കാര്‍ക്കും ഏഴു ശതമാനം ക്ഷാമബത്ത കൂടി
സംസ്ഥാന സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ ജീവനക്കാര്‍ക്കും പെന്‍ഷന്‍കാര്‍ക്കും ഏഴു ശതമാനം ക്ഷാമബത്തകൂടി അനുവദിക്കുമെന്ന് ധനമന്ത്രി കെ.എം.മാണി അറിയിച്ചു.വര്‍ദ്ധിച്ച ക്ഷാമബത്ത 2015 മാര്‍ച്ച് മാസത്തെ ശമ്പളം/ പെന്‍ഷനോടൊപ്പം ലഭിക്കും ഇതോടെ ക്ഷാമബത്ത അടിസ്ഥാനശമ്പളത്തിന്റെ 73 ശതമാനത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് 80 ശതമാനമായി ഉയരും. 2014 ജൂലൈ മുതല്‍ ഇതിന് പ്രാബല്യമുണ്ടായിരിക്കും. ജീവനക്കാരുടെ 2014 ജൂലൈ മുതല്‍ മാര്‍ച്ച് വരെയുള്ള കുടിശ്ശിക പ്രോവിഡന്റ്ഫണ്ടില്‍ ലയിപ്പിക്കും. പെന്‍ഷന്‍കാരുടെ ഡി.എ കുടിശ്ശിക പണമായി നല്കുമെന്നും ധനമന്ത്രി കെ.എം.മാണി അറിയിച്ചു.

IAY Housing Complaints can be referred to MGNREGA Ombudsman
Union Govt decided to utilize the service of MGNREGA Ombuds person for redressal of grievances under Indira Awas Yojana Housing Scheme. The decision was distributed to all states by the Ministry Of Rural Development.

ഗ്രാമവികസന മന്ത്രിമാരുടെ മൂന്നാമത് യോഗം ജനുവരി 20-ന് പാറ്റ്‌നയില്‍ നടക്കുമെന്ന് കേന്ദ്ര ഗ്രാമവികസന വകുപ്പ് മന്ത്രി ചൗധരി വീരേന്ദര്‍ സിംഗ്. യോഗത്തില്‍ ഉരുത്തിരിയുന്ന നിര്‍ദ്ദേശങ്ങള്‍ക്കനുസരിച്ച് ഗ്രാമീണ തൊഴിലുറപ്പ് പദ്ധതി മാര്‍ഗരേഖയില്‍ വേണ്ട മാറ്റങ്ങള്‍ വരുത്തുമെന്നും മന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു. കോവളം ഉദയസമുദ്ര ഹോട്ടലില്‍ നടന്ന ദക്ഷിണേന്ത്യന്‍ ഗ്രാമവികസന മന്ത്രിമാരുടെ യോഗത്തിനുശേഷം നടത്തിയ പത്രസമ്മേളനത്തിലാണ് മന്ത്രി ഇക്കാര്യം അറിയിച്ചത്. ഗ്രാമീണ മേഖലയില്‍ വര്‍ഷം 100 തൊഴില്‍ ദിനങ്ങളെന്നത് ഗ്രാമീണ ജനതയുടെ അവകാശമാണെന്ന് മന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു. മഹാത്മാഗാന്ധി ദേശീയ ഗ്രാമീണ തൊഴിലുറപ്പ് പദ്ധതിയില്‍ കൃഷി, ജലസേചനം, വനം തുടങ്ങിയ വിവിധ വകുപ്പുകളെക്കൂടി ഉള്‍പ്പെടുത്തുമെന്നും മന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു. ഇനിയും വികസനം എത്താത്ത 2500 ബ്ലോക്ക് പഞ്ചായത്തുകളെക്കൂടി പദ്ധതിയില്‍ പങ്കാളികളാക്കും. ശേഷിക്കുന്ന മറ്റ് നാലായിരത്തോളം ബ്ലോക്കുകള്‍ക്ക് തുക അനുവദിക്കുമെന്നും മന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു

NITI Aayog will replace Planning Commisssion
The centre-to-state one-way flow of policy, that was the hallmark of the Planning Commission era, is now sought to be replaced by a genuine and continuing partnership of states.NITI Aayog will emerge as a "think-tank" that will provide Governments at the central and state levels with relevant strategic and technical advice across the spectrum of key elements of policy.
Sericulture Development, VEOs made Field Officers
LSGD issued detailed guidelines to intensify sericulture activities through Rural Development Department. Village Extension Officers designated as field officers for the programme. VEOs will be the convener of Panchayath level Sericulture Development Committee.
Spill Over Project Implementation-Time limit extended
Decentralization Co Ordination Committee decided to extend the time limit fixed for implementation of Spill Over Projects from 31st December 2014 to 28th February 2015.
