Local Self Govts: Administrative Committees Constituted
Kerala Govt notified administrative committees for the administration of Local Self Govts till the new elected heads took over charge. The tenure of the local self govts will end 31st October 2015. Gramapanchyaths will be governed by Secretary, Agriculture officer and ICDS supervisor.

BDOs authorised to issue BPL Certificates
Kerala Govt authorized Block Development Officers to issue BPL Certificates to eligible families for getting social welfare assistances. Though the family not included in the 2009 BPL list, if they satisfy the eligibility criteria, after verification BDOs should give BPL certificates.
